On 6 October, ACT LOUISE had its second general assembly meeting. It was hosted by ACT LOUISE partner, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) at their Marmara Research Centre in Gebze/Kocaeli, Turkey. Most participants joined in person, with the rest able to attend over Microsoft Teams.

Each of LOUISE’s six work packages took turns presenting their news and developments since the last meeting, and answering questions from the other meeting attendees. The meeting was broken up by breaks, to enable project members to talk and get to know each other on a more informal level.

Visit to TÜBİTAK’s labs
The meeting also featured a tour of TÜBİTAK’s labs after lunch.
The labs contain a number of instruments that can be used to analyse the potential of natural Turkish ores as oxygen carrier materials. Meeting participants also visited the reactor lab, which will be modified for feeding biomass.
This work will be done as part of work package 2: Oxygen carrier material validation and re-use (WP2).

ACT LOUISE would like to thank TÜBİTAK for a very welcoming and informative second general assembly meeting!
