TU Darmstadt’s 1 MWth Pilot Plant: Testing under Industry-like Conditions

A few times a year, nearly all employees at TU Darmstadt’s Institute for Energy Systems and Technology leave their desks to operate our 1 MWth modular pilot plant, which can be used to test various novel gasification and carbon capture technologies.

SINTEF Visits Pilot Plant at Technische Universität Darmstadt

On 29 March, research scientists from SINTEF Energy Research were given a tour of TU Darmstadt’s 1 MWth pilot plant. The pilot plant will be used to test CLC of solid waste.
